Job Summary
The Security Events Manager is a high-profile position that provides security coverage for local, domestic and international events. The Security Events Manager creates detailed security plans through site advances and then works with our security vendors to produce successful events. This position works closely with Apple’s Corporate Communications, Marketing, and Events Management teams. This manager must have strong interpersonal, security, and organization skills, and be an enthusiastic leader who drives security services to both internal and external employees. This position will work with all levels of management and non-management personnel. Attention to the detail is a must in this role.

Description
Work with Apple’s business units, and the contract guard service, to plan and execute a detailed security plan for event/projects worldwide. Direct security services using our vendors globally. Conduct site-inspections of properties (hotels, conventions centers, theaters, etc) to minimize risk to Apple. Must be able to travel internationally with little notice. Travel 40-60% of the time. Survey and recommend security improvements for both on-site and off-site properties. Manage, deploy and develop a portable access control system. Build relationships with business unit representatives, contract guards and other vendors to understand the environment and special security needs within each event. Ensure correct scheduling and quality work performance by the contract guard service. Frequently assess and adjust the contract guard service by on-site review, and feedback from the business units to deliver outstanding service on each event. Plan for, and respond to, emergency situations that occur during special events. Create summaries, narratives and statistical reports.

Education

A bachelor’s degree plus one year of relevant experience; or five years relevant experience with demonstrated organizational and leadership success.
