Job Description:

Serves as a member of the Commander’s Advisement Team. Responsible for assisting in strategic planning and long term goals and functions. Able to provide reliable and frequent expert advice on virtually any matter pertaining to the Operations and overall mission of the client organization through extensive experience gained in similar type units within the DoD. The proposed employee should be an expert in explosives and demolitions, responsible for providing advice to unit leaders and other personnel regarding techniques and procedures, to include (but limited to) the analysis and assessment of devices, firing mechanisms, detection, mitigation, training aids and techniques, and counter asymmetric threat Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP). Provide expert advice to the Commander or Commanders at the Group and Task Force (TF) Level. Provide advice for the investigation and introduction of technologies to counter asymmetric threats. Provide training and advice to Brigade Combat Team (BCT)/functional Brigade (BDE) units, as required, and coordinate technical support to supported units. Provide expertise in guerilla warfare, insurgency, and Asymmetric Warfare (AW) in order to operate in an asymmetric environment and provide advice to others operating or preparing to operate in an asymmetric environment.

Requirements:

At a minimum should have ten to fifteen (10-15) years of relevant experience with either the U.S. military or other federal government agency(ies) that demonstrates the ability to meet the duties described above and to function as a highly skilled, broadly gauged AW expert to perform tasks in the direct vital interests of the United States
Demonstrated experience should include involvement with combat arms, U.S. Special Operations Forces and/or U.S. Special Mission Units
Should demonstrate sufficient knowledge of forensics collection techniques in order to follow collection guidance
Should demonstrate sufficient knowledge of HUMINT and SIGINT collections techniques in order to follow intelligence collections guidance and priority intelligence requirements
Preferred Qualifications:

Strong background in asymmetric warfare and/or C-IED efforts
Education:

HS Diploma
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university is preferred
Computer Skills:
Proficiency with MS Office

Clearance Requirement:Active Secret clearance


Location:
Assignments may be CONUS or OCONUS; May be required to deploy overseas in support of and/or with the unit
