Senior Military Analyst

Description: 
Supports the TRADOC Capability Manager – Live (TCM-L) for development, coordination and technical support of all Range Officer Professional Development (ROPD) and RFMSS (Range Facility Management Support System) courses developed for deployment on the Army LMS. Technical support shall include knowledge and expertise of Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) applications, Range Safety, and Range Operations/Modernization principles/doctrine.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Manages the ROPD/RFMSS/RMTK for US Army TRADOC. Conducts liaison with Department of the Army, TRADOC proponent schools, Department of Defense staff elements, and other TCM-L Teams on issues related to training requirements, course content, course management, and student management. Also responsible for reviewing other services courseware for possible integration into the Army ROPD/RFMSS/RMTK courses. Duties include coordinating agendas and meeting locations to provide technical advice and update Functional Description Document (FDD) to include work group decisions, new requirements, and adjusted functionality. Also provide input on issues related to allocation and use of ammunition; ranges and training lands; management practices; etc. Also prepares and assists TCM-L in presenting briefings on related topics. Performs other range and training lands related duties and tasks as assigned by the TCM-L.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Civilian Education. Associates degree from an accredited college or university. Strong verbal and writing skills.

• Military Education. Officers: Attendance at Intermediate Level School such as Command and Staff College. Non-Commissioned Officers: Attendance at Senior Leadership Course. Master Gunner, Staff NCO courses desirable.


• Military Operational Experience. Desired ten years operational involvement in deployment and employment of ground combat, aviation, supporting arms, and/or combat service support units and related equipment. Desired 3 years involvement in training development, training management, and/or policy development at the Army major command level.
