Our client is designing a Global Security Operation Center (GSOC) on its Technology Campus in Cary, NC. The GSOC Global Security Watch Officer will be responsible for management and coordination of global security operations, staff security, security monitoring, incident management, communications and maintaining good external response partner relationships with US domestic and international support organizations. The GSOC will feature 24/7/365 global security monitoring and intelligence gathering, analysis, information technology and communication coordination positions. The GSOC will be a state-of-the-art facility that will be enabled to handle all security needs and response for Client.
TigerSwan is seeking applicants for the position of GSOC Global Security Watch Officer for the new facility.
The GSOC Global Security Watch Officer shall have responsibility for:
• Have knowledge of overall GSOC operations.
• Monitor the overall status and threat levels across the globe.
• Assess global events and their impact to employees, facilities, business operations and reputation.
• Learn and follow the GSOC work policies and procedures.
• Monitor and track business travelers, international assignees, and senior executives.
• Provide immediate guidance and assistance during emergency situations.
• Support security and crisis communication requirements.
• Assist in the successful coordination with external organizations as to security, emergency preparedness, emergency response, communications and training and exercises.
• Prepare situation reports and maintain administrative requirements associated with role and responsibilities.
Required Experience:
• 3+ year’s operational experience in a Global Security Operation Center, Fusion Center, Emergency Operation Center, Command and Control Center or similar security and intelligence center operation.
• Experience in performing the duties of this position from a console.
• 3+ years’ experience in security monitoring and security tracking of physical assets, facilities, and people in any of the centers from previous roles.
• Prior experience in functioning within an incident command system structure during real-world events.
• Prior experience in emergency response dispatch center is preferred.
• Have a background and experience utilizing the various communication capabilities within a dispatch center including Radio Frequency (RF), telephone, intercom, data networks, and video surveillance monitoring equipment, inter-agency interoperability, console functionality, and other emergency communication strategies during sustained emergency events.
• Adaptive and skilled with the use of technology and operating systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• College or Associates degree, or technical degree related to security or communication systems.
• Be capable of successfully passing a background check and obtain the necessary clearance required to work within the GSOC.
Preferred Experience:
• Certifications in the National Incident Management System Incident Command System (NIMS/ICS) ICS-300 and ICS-400, or equivalent military experience.
• Certifications in the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) G-120 and G-130, or equivalent military experience.
• Certification in the National Response Framework, or equivalent military experience.
• Be capable of developing and presenting internal and external presentations with regard to the GSOC.
• Excellent people and project management skills.
• Additional language skills a plus
Travel:
• 5% for meetings and industry benchmarking to improve overall capability of the GSOC.
Assumptions:
• Successful candidate will already live in the area or relocate to the area where the GSOC is located.
• The GSOC will be staffed on a 24/7 basis, and the applicant will need to be able to work different shift schedules
