Brief Description
The Senior Security Manager is ultimately responsible for the safety and security of the guests/owners and DRI Team Members as well as the Company's assets. The Senior Security
Manager will oversee and manage the Security Department to ensure compliance with all safety and security policies & procedures. The Manager will assist resort management in enforcing all other policies and procedures. The Manager will prevent accidents, incidents and losses as well as conduct investigations on all incidents.
Detailed Description
Manage day to day operations of the Security department, supervise and oversee scheduling of staff.
Ensure that proper coverage exists and the property is guarded against fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry.
Direct all Team Members/owners/guests in Safety/Fire and Emergency procedures (i.e. bomb threats, fires, medical emergencies, alarms, evacuations).
Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations; administer Safety and Security training programs.
Conduct preliminary investigations; generate, review and initial Security Incident Reports.
Coordinate all activities with video surveillance equipment.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Implement and control the resort's Lost and Found policy and ensure that policy is adhered to by staff.
Responsible for staff key distribution log for resort departments/vendors/contractors, keeps inventory up to date.
Hire, train, motivate, evaluate and supervise assigned personnel; coaching for success and continuing development of staff skills.
Responsible for actively building and retaining customer relations and acting as a mentor to Team Members in order to provide superior customer service while delivering the Diamond Difference.
Control Security departmental budget at resort level.
Complete and forward reports, including, but not limited to the following:
-Weekly reports to be sent with the results to the Chief Fire & Life Safety Inspector.
-Monthly inspections of the AED, fire pump and hoses, fires alarm system, portable fire extinguishers, etc.
-Monthly reports to be sent with the results to the Corporate Security Coordinator and the Chief Fire & Life Safety Inspector.
-Weekly readout reports for the key lock interrogations system to Corporate Security Coordinator.
Provide superior customer service in accordance with the Company DRIven to Excellence standards.
Consistently practice We Love to Say Yes® and maintain the highest standards of professionalism when interacting with fellow team members, management, owners, members and prospects.
Operate office machinery (i.e., computer, copy machine, fax machine).
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
At least three (3) years progressively responsible experience in security or related field, with one (1) year in a supervisory capacity.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Military or police background desired, but not a requirement.
High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
Valid state-issued driver's license and clean driving record.
First Aid and CPR certification.
Required State Licenses.
Preferred:
Previous experience in the hospitality or timeshare industry.
Bi-lingual; fluent in English and Spanish.
