Overview:

The Senior Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) Training Integrator (TI) serves as a liaison between the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) Expeditionary Training Division and the Security Forces Regional Training Centers (RTC) as it relates to C-IED training and equipment. This position also serves as an advisor to the SF Center as to the appropriate level of training required for SF RTCs and provides a senior level of knowledge concerning current Combat Command (COCOM) theater entry requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Serves as a senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Counter IED training initiatives, programs, processes and requirements.
Provides supervisory oversight of contract workforce required for C-IED training exercises.
Provides Senior C-IED TI technical support, planning, consultation, analysis, expert advice and execution to establish, integrate, maintain, improve and disseminate C-IED training-related information to the SF RTC locations as it pertains to Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) subject matter.

Assesses the integration of technology, real world threats, operations and lessons learned into SF RTC C-IED training plans. Assesses the impact of these changes to the curriculum to include cost and schedule implications.
Assesses other AF C-IED training venues, and incorporates any beneficial elements into the USAF SF C-IED training program as approved by the SF career field.
Supports and participates in Temporary Duty (TDY) visits to CONUS and OCONUS SF RTC locations as required for the performance of process analysis and development, information collection and dissemination, and training support related to SF C-IED training activities.

Maintains contact with C-IED representatives at CONUS and OCONUS SF RTC training venues. Establishes partnerships that instill open sharing of information between the SF RTCs. Maintains visual on SF deployment locations of Unit Training Centers (UTC) ensuring emerging Tactics, Techniques and procedures (TTPs) are supported as it relates to C-IED activities.
Ensures SF RTC locations update C-IED lesson plans as required by SF. Assists the SF RTCs as needed with planning and preparing scenario development as it pertains to C-IED training.
Maintains a current working knowledge of IED components, emplacement and concealment as used in the current US Theater of Operations (OEF/OIF). The Senior C-IED TI shall be familiar with the identification, nomenclature and explosive characteristics of Unexploded Ordnance in the Central Command (CENTCOM) Area of Operation.
Remains current on existing and emerging CREW systems and requirements. Prepares for and assists SF with the integration of systems into SF RTC C-IED training venues, as required.
Ensures SF RTCs incorporate applicable C-IED training equipment items such as: CREW systems, Escalation of Force (EOF) Kits, Training IEDs (TIEDs) and other related equipment.
Assists with C-IED related training tasks at other SF RTC locations as they relate to the duties of the Junior C-IED TI, when necessary.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.

Education /Experience
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of fifteen (15) years related experience as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician, or equivalent combination of education / experience. A Master’s degree or equivalent, in combination with lesser EOD experience, may suffice.
Must be a graduate of the Naval School EOD (NAVSCOLEOD) course held at either Indian Head Maryland or Eglin AFB, FL.
Must have relevant operational IED experience in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) environments. Operational experience includes but is not limited to the training, planning and operations of IED and C-IED missions as an EOD Team Leader.

Job Specific Knowledge /Skills Abilties: 
Expert knowledge of and advanced skills in AF personnel C-IED training processes, programs and requirements
Working knowledge of DUKE and CVRJ (Counter-Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare (CREW) Vehicle Receiver/Jammer) vehicle mounted systems
Working knowledge of IED components categories (e., Containers, Switches, Power Source, Main Charge and Initiator), emplacement and concealment as used in the current and future US Theater of Operations
Knowledgeable of the identification, nomenclature and explosive characteristics of Explosive Ordnance.
Knowledge and understanding of the CREW systems (e., DUKE, CVRJ, AN-PLT 4 and AN-PLT 5 and I1B1 vehicle mounted, dismounted and fixed site systems)
Solid organizational and leadership skills relevant to carrying out day-to-day responsibilities
Ability to effectively train others
Excellent critical thinking skills with ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems / complex issues
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Mathemetical Skills: 
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Counter-IED procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Certificates ,Licenses ,Registration:
Must be a U.S. born or naturalized citizen due to government or federal requirement
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD secret security clearance.
