Job Description
Dimension & Scope:
Manages and coordinates all security activities at Convergys locations. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with established security procedures and that Convergys is adhering to all applicable federal regulations. Interface with company personnel in special projects requiring above average security precautions. Monitor safety and security incidents and coordinate the appropriate responses, both proactively and reactively. Advise internal groups on emergency procedures for incidents that may affect Convergys business. Conduct security inspections to identify problems, develop recommendations, and implement improvements. Conducts and performs loss of assets investigations. Serve as the primary contact with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies on security exposures/incidents. Advise internal and external groups on building design issues related to safety and security standards. Develop and maintain Convergys security procedures. Education & Professional Certifications: Bachelors Degree in Law Enforcement, Criminology, Management, or business related field. Candidate Profile: Eight to ten years of safety/security experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Expert in corporate and
industrial security standards and security management practices. Ability to plan, assign, and supervise the work of employees engaged in various aspects of fire, safety and security operations. Ability to write reports, correspondence and procedure manuals. Must have proficiency with various software applications programs including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Decision-making skills for problem identification and solution recommendation and implementation. Analysis and problem solving skills to determine effects on existing systems and/or business processes. Proven project management and implementation experience is required. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to effectively communicate with internal staff and external law enforcement agencies.
