Responsibilities:
Protect safety of persons and property in and around The Times building, performing such duties as:
- Access Control – Provide access through turnstiles only to authorized employees, tenants, and invited guests. Manage the visitor control process. Deny access to any unauthorized persons. Perform the security card on-boarding and off-boarding process. Maintain related logs and records as necessary. Remain vigilant, observing lobby and turnstile activity.
- Monitor – Electronic alarms, and CCTV screens to confirm entry.
- Communications – Respectfully, accurately, and clearly respond to inquiries from employees, guests, and the public in-person and over the phone.
- Tours – Patrol all Times floors as directed.
- Emergencies – Respond to emergency situations when the arise, contacting 911 as needed.
Requirements:
A minimum of two years of Corporate Security or Law Enforcement.
A Security Guard license from the New York State Division of Licensing Services.
