Description:

Diplomatic Security Assistant- DSA’s help protect and enforce rules and regulation at the Department of State (DOS) controlled areas. DSA’s are unarmed and are normally posted at specific areas to prevent unauthorized access to domestic DOS controlled facilities (Washington DC). They mainly perform administrative duties.

Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must be US Citizens
Applicants must be 21 years of age
Applicants must demonstrate command of the English language
Applicants must have adequate computer skills and be proficient in the use of MS Office products
Applicants must be eligible for a security clearance
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

- A bachelor’s degree; or

- Completed three years of active duty military service before being Honorably Discharged; or

- Three+ years of experience in a customer-service position or other position where contact with the public was a common occurrence: or

- Five+ years of successful general work experience (familiarity working in a security environment experience preferred).

Good listening skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing situations
Good organization skills
Pass a drug screen and physical (includes vision and hearing)
