Job Description:
PGI is looking for a full-time Site Security Manager (SSM) to be responsible for the security of a federal government construction project in Bethesda, Maryland. The SSM is accountable for ensuring adequate site security, overseeing the site’s security guards, Construction Security Technicians (CST), and Construction Security Plan (CSP).
Duties:
•Ensure engineering design documentation complies with government regulatory requirements specifically ICD 705-1 and Tech Manual for the construction of SCI Facilities.
•In consultation with the Accrediting Official (AO), develop, implement, and maintain the Construction Security Plan (CSP) in accordance with ICD 705 and ICD Tech Manual.
•Conduct periodic security inspections for the duration of the project to ensure compliance with Construction Security Plan (CSP) and ICD 705.
•Document security violations of deviations from the CSP and notify the AO.
•Oversee the security guard force, cleared escorts, and CSTs
•Participate in daily construction and security meetings and weekly status meetings.
•Prepare various reports, plans and documentation as requested by the Security Officials at client facility.
•Assist AO and/or other government personnel with an additional projects as needed
Selection and Employment Criteria:
•Must be a U.S. Citizen
•Must possess an active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance and able to pass a CI polygraph
•Must have at least ten (10) years of experience in construction security surveillance, technical surveillance countermeasures, industrial or govt. security involving counterintelligence
•Must have a DOS (SE-601) Site Security Manager Course
•Must be knowledgeable of construction disciplines, structural designs and complexities
Additional Requirements:
•Able to stand for 8 hours (with breaks)
•Able to work outdoors in summer heat and winter cold
•Able to bend forward at the waist and knees
•Able to walk up to one half mile across uneven surfaces of a construction site
•Able to climb ladders and stairs on a regular basis
•Able to lift up to 20 pounds
•Able to visually inspect site personnel for appropriate credentials
•Must be able to work weekdays and weekends if necessary.
