Potawatomi Training, LLC is seeking qualified candidates to provide Abrams Master Gunner Instructor support for the M1A2 Abrams Master Gunner Course.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide students with course content clarification, answer questions, and coach and mentor students to assist them in achieving course learning objectives.
• Conduct individual performance evaluations, monitor and report student and small group
performance, and identify any instructional modifications needed to the designated course leadership.
• Provide a written After Action Report within one week following each course to the COR.
• Be available and able to open and assist with running ranges in support of assigned course.
Experience:
• Served in the U.S. Army as an NCO with the MOS of 19K and an ASI of K8. Additionally Individual must have been certified on the Advanced Gunnery Training System (AGTS).
• Must have military experience and knowledge equivalent to that which would be acquired as a M1A2 SEP Master Gunner Instructor.
• Successfully completed the M1A2 Master Gunner School certification process within the last 8 years and submit what lessons they were certified to instruct for verification through the Master Gunner School. (Waiver able based on documented performance as a Master Gunner)
• Completed at least one cycle as a certified M1A2 SEP Master Gunner instructor. (Waiver able based on documented performance as a Master Gunner)
• Demonstrate expertise in writing and speaking the English language, with an emphasis on speaking publicly to both large and small groups.
• Demonstrate an ability to lead in both large and small-group instruction.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the use of automatic data processing (ADP) equipment and standard desktop publishing software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), as to prepare briefing materials.
• Minimum 12 months combat experience (ODS/OIF/OEF specific experience).
• One year of experience with the systems approach to training/curriculum development (ADDIE) and management.
Education:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Army Basic Instructor Course or Equivalent certified after 2008
• Have the appropriate ASI/SQI
•
Additional Information:
• Instructors must successfully complete a class check-out (dry run) conducted by Major Subordinate Command (MSC) cadre to be certified to train soldiers.
• Attend Range Safety Officer Training on Fort Benning with Range Control and maintain currency throughout the contract.
• Instructors must be in good physical condition, able to work outdoors in all types of weather (e.g., heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.).
• Instructors will have to climb up and down on a variety of military vehicle and Armored vehicle platforms
• Instructors may have to walk long distances up to 1 KM over broken ground and may have to remain standing for extended periods of time in order to support training on range operations.
• Instruction normally takes place in the motor pool, classroom, live-fire ranges and field environments at Fort Benning, although some travel to teach classes at other CONUS locations may be required in support of unit Mobile Training Teams (MTTs).
• Possess and maintain Secret clearance required by contract
• Selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Passport
