than 100 years old. UIL is looking for an exceptional individual for the position of Physical Security Specialist for the Orange Location
Tasks
This position is will regularly conduct risk assessments
and produce risk-based security plans for critical infrastructure
facilities. Evaluate, analyze and recommend Security Systems and related
Technologies to improve Physical Security and remain current with
industry trends and best practices. Develop and Maintain Security Plans
involving access control procedures, intrusion detection, cameras,
fences and Guard force levels. Develop, revise and communicate with
supervision all Security related policies, operating procedures and
plans. Coordinate and report on all aspects of NERC Physical Security
standards, including assembling and maintaining evidence that
demonstrates compliance. Maintain Physical Security IT assets to ensure
NERC CIP compliance. Design and supervise the implementation of security
engineering projects in conjunction with security technology vendors.
Coordinate with the Contracted Guard Service to ensure Compliance with
Procedures and maximize effectiveness. Coordinate and conduct physical
security training programs for UIL personnel. Conduct physical security
audits and inspections. Initiate, conduct and properly document
investigations. Coordinate the electronic access control and manual key
control program for all critical infrastructure facilities. Actively
participate as a member of the Physical Security Services team to ensure
a safe and secure work environment.
Requirements
This Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal
Justice, Security Management, IT or related field and 5 years of
experience in Corporate or Government Security. Knowledge and practical
experience in Physical Security Programs and Compliance Administration.
Experience in Risk Assessment methodology and Security Technology.
Ability to interpret compliance requirements. Demonstrated technical
writing skills. Ability to provide training, presentations, and
instruction. IT network administrative background and knowledge of the
North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) Standards
