Day to Day Responsibilities
- Oversee implementation of approved Global Security programs across areas of responsibility and confirm the effectiveness for these initiatives and strategies. These initiatives include but are not limited to facilities protection, investigations, supply chain security, brand protection/anti-counterfeit, workplace security, travel security, personal security and coordinating executive and event protection.
- Maintain consistent communications and flow of information with all security stakeholders in his/her area of responsibility.
- Develop strategies to counter risks and gain buy-in and support from appropriate management.
- Working in consultation with Global Security Corporate – identify, develop, implement, and maintain security processes, practices, and policies throughout the area of his/her responsibility to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure and liability in all areas of assets, physical, personal and reputation risk.
- Incorporate approved security standards and guidelines into projects to include construction, renovation and production related projects.
- Assist management in identifying, assessing and addressing all potential loss exposures due to theft, vandalism, sabotage, or other identified unauthorized or illegal activities.
- Act as an investigative liaison and as a criminal investigation subject matter expert to Ethics and Compliance and Brand Protection. Provide expert advice and leadership on cases of mutual interest.
- Ensure conformity of current and planned security operations with approved security standards and with existing host country applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide technical support to Security Manager or Security officer in his/her area of responsibility and other relevant company department for the selection of security service providers and during the execution of security related contracts.
- Act as advisor and coordinator for the Local Crisis Teams in the Division in the absence of the Director or WWDirector for Global Security.
- Incorporate lessons learned from previous crisis into security and evacuation plans.
- Review and approve newcomer’s security briefings for employees and family members (overseas). The Newcomer’s Security Briefing should contain detailed instructions on risk-reduction behaviors, security procedures and rules applicable to the facility and overseas to the specific country to be complied with by all personnel.
- Build relationships with regional peers and leaders across the region. Benchmark with partners and peers in the industry and share best practices.
- Maintain strong communication links with the Regional Security Offices at the U.S. Embassies and Consulates in the region and strong communication and support links with the local police and fire departments responsible for the Piscataway facility.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree Required
- 5 Years of Consumer Goods Industry Experience Preferred
- 5-7 Years Functional Experience Required
- Must be fluent in Spanish – written and oral.
- Strong interpersonal skills required.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills a must.
- Strong cultural awareness required and experience working in Latin America preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of alarm/CCTV systems, physical security systems and experience in uniform guard service management.
- Security risk management and threat analysis skills and demonstrated skill in writing and review of securty procedures and plans.
- Understanding of emergency management and life safety policy.
- Experience in complex operating environments and emerging world markets.
- Strong understanding of business risk analysis and prioritizing according to business needs.
- In-depth experience in Supply Chain security.
- Experience in Crisis Management planning and training.
- Experience in managing and conducting sensitive investigations.
- Must have strong computer skills with competence with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to problem solve in real-time and to coordinate preparedness plans in crisis situations for the facility and the division (when required)
