Director Of Physical Security

Role Description:
The FSO / Security Manager has responsibility for oversight, administration and management of all security functions, activities and personnel relating to compliance with company and Government requirements at the Mclean, VA facility. This includes investigations, physical and personnel security, classified document control, access control, security training, guard force operations, executive protection, security inspections, site surveys and security equipment installations. Develops and implements local augmentations to departmental policies and procedures and modifies as required. Reviews security practices and provides suggestions for improvement. Ensures that acceptable security standards and functions are maintained in accordance with established Company and Governmental policies and applicable legal
requirements. Trains company personnel associated with government contracts. Primary Point of Contact with local, regional, state and federal law enforcement and investigative agencies as related to local incidents and locally administered classified government contracts.

  • Security Awareness Education & Training
  • Joint Personnel Adjudication System Manager
  • Information Systems Security Manager for Classified Automated Information Systems
  • Communication Security Manager
  • Maintain Facility Security Clearance Requirements
  • Maintain Physical Security & Access Control Requirements
  • Oversight and management of locally assigned guard force personnel and activities.
  • Manage and oversee all local security functions, activities and personnel.
  • Serve as primary Focal Point for all security matters at the Santa Clara Facility.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of ten years progressive experience in all areas of physical and personnel security and investigations with at least five years’ experience in a government security management position.
  • Facility Security Officer (FSO) certified.
  • Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) certified.
  • Communication Security (COMSEC) certified.
  • Information System Security Manager (ISSM) certified.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice or security management. Additional security experience and skills acceptable a substitute.
  • Multiple professional certifications desired.
  • Excellent communications skills at all levels of management.
  • Proficient in the use of the MS Office package – Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Must be familiar with access control systems and functions, CCTV, guard force management, security operations and functions on an international scale.
  • Able to function independently, under pressure and perform multiple functions and duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Knowledge of government security requirements and procedures (NISPOM) required.
