Lead Executive Protection Agent

JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate in this position will provide for the welfare, physical protection and security
of a high profile client by performing armed and unarmed executive protection assignments as required.  They will develop and/or manage comprehensive protection assignments and provide consulting and alternative security solutions to the client.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Essential Functions Include:
  1. Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance and excellence.
  2. Provide close protection and other security functions for the client.
  3. Ensure that all services are conducted in a timely and professional manner with special attention to quality and accuracy.
  4. Travel to international and domestic locations with the client to perform executive protection assignments (40 trips/year).
    • Serve as the client liaison through proactive communication with local security teams, authorities, and other Executive Protective Agents.
    • Prepare and coordinate the implementation of the itinerary and travel route.
    • Provide direction and good judgment/discretion to proactively resolve issues or concerns.
  5. Enforce procedures that promote the safety and security of the client. These include but are not limited to:
    • Access control
    • Alarm response
    • Patrols tactics
  6. Respond to emergencies to ensure the safety of the client; as needed, appropriately apply an escalation of the force level.
  7. Deescalate tense situations or individuals that arise at the client’s residency or at events.
  8. Write detailed incident reports following any incident, occurrence, or variance that warrants documentation.
  9. Ensure that the appropriate management personnel are kept informed of all issues relating to the client relationships.
  10. Maintain a continued, positive relationship with client, through appropriate contact and the anticipation of service needs.
  11. Maintain excellent communication with other Agent(s) specifically as it relates to safety vulnerabilities and escalation of information during emergencies or potentially threatening situations.
  12. Maintain an immaculate appearance day to day.
  13. Communicate vulnerabilities or safety concerns in a timely manner.
  14. Identify and escalate equipment deficiencies/failures.
  15. Perform additional duties as assigned (i.e. internal events, external events, etc.).
[-]MINIMUM HIRING STANDARDS
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
  • Must reside in/near Orange County, NY (or willingness to relocate).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to carry a firearm.
  • Must have permit to carry a firearm.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., email, cell phone).
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
[-]EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES
High School Diploma or G.E.D; prior experience in physical security, military service and/or law enforcement, sufficient to meet the minimum requirement for state and local licensing and permit to carry a firearm during domestic travel across state lines and including international travel (HR218).
[-]COMPETENCIES
  • Current/Active CCW required (Prior military/law enforcement background highly desirable).
  • Current CA Guard Card and Exposed Firearm Permit.
  • Immaculate appearance.
  • Substantial background in providing concierge customer service.
  • Experience with and working knowledge of access control systems, CCTV, alarm monitoring, etc.
  • Ability to use computers with Windows OS and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in successfully handling difficult and confrontational situations.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Professional demeanor and solid communication skills (interpersonal, radio, email, text, etc.).

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.

  • On occasion, may be required to perform stressful and physical activity.
  • Exposure to sensitive and confidential information.
  • Seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly in order to respond effectively to situations, communicate with employees and clients, observe and report incidents and direct others.
  • Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
  • Occasional walking and reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Some lifting and moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
  • Close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
