Job Purpose
In anticipation of future contract awards, Control Risks is currently
seeking Senior Consultants for full time positions embedded within client
organizations.
Based in various locations throughout the United States,
the Consultants will join the client’s team to provide expertise in and
assistance with business continuity and crisis management planning,
maintenance and administration.
The position will be based on a 40 hour working week, with 10 national
holidays, 15 vacation days and 10 sick days a year. The position will be
fixed to the term of our contract with the client, and will expire in line with
this.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Assist with the development of comprehensive business continuity
and crisis management programs.
Assist with the development of recovery plans and processes.
Preparing and delivering Business Continuity Metrics and Project
Status to management teams.
Presenting to executives and management teams results and
lessons learned from business continuity and crisis management
programs.
Developing communications (memorandums, emails) for new and
ongoing projects.
Scheduling, facilitating and documenting meetings, trainings,
exercises, briefings, sending summary notes and developing task
lists.
Providing consultation to the client refining the organization’s crisis
management and business continuity program.
 
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
The position requires 5-7 years of business continuity and crisis
management experience; preferably in multi-national organization.
Knowledge and experience with business recovery plans and processes.
Execution of business impact analyses, risks assessments, plan
development and exercising.
Strong/polished business and communications skills requiring client
facing presentation delivery, note taking, and documentation
development.
Detail and process oriented individual with solid understanding and
appreciation of project management skills.
Self-starter with a strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Ability and aptitude to organize, analyze and consolidate data from a
variety of sources.
Ability to write business briefs, email correspondences and
newsletters for clients not familiar with business continuity or crisis
management concepts.
Preferred
Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) designation
through DRI International or BCI.
Ability to travel
Advanced degree
