Now this is where you come in… We are seeking exceptional candidates for a Regional Security Manager. The Regional Security Manager serves as the security function leader in a geographic area or business unit assigned. The RSM counsels and influences management teams within the area of responsibility on all security-related matters to protect employees, customers, communities and partners, to protect physical and financial assets, to safeguard intellectual property and to preserve our company's reputation and facilitate the continuity of operations. Responsibilities will include the following:
Assess risk and develop strategies to counter these risks through effective leadership and influence to get key stakeholder buy in.
Lead the implementation of security programs within area of responsibility through collaboration with business unit partners, direct reports or contract personnel.
Ensure implementation and compliance with the Responsible ® Care Security Code and other relevant regulations and policies.
Provide expertise in security matters to BASF facilities and operations, customers and other business partners or stakeholders.
Assist and guide site security representatives to ensure BASF receives efficient and effective contracted security services while being mindful of costs.
Implement and supervise supply chain security in compliance with Responsible Care Security Code, Maritime Transportation Security Act, Custom Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) and Department of Transportation requirements.
Conduct investigations; collect and analyze evidence, interview parties, and summarize conclusions and findings in comprehensive investigation reports.Where you’ll work: This position will be located in Florham Park NJ or at other key BASF site location. Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent


Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher degree; degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration or equivalent area of study is preferred.
Must have at least 5 years of experience working in a corporate setting in an internal security department and/or risk management governance environment.
Supervisory experience or qualifications are strongly preferred.
Expertise in a broad range of corporate security areas of concern to include risk assessment methodology, physical security, investigations, control of regulated products, etc., strongly preferred.
Effective working knowledge of US law, regulatory compliance as it applies to chemicals
Experience in development and implementation of security policies and procedures, preferred.
Working knowledge and experience in implementing an information protection program desired.
Communication and contacts within government, law enforcement and industry trade groups, preferred.
Able to work effectively with customers, suppliers and contractors to ensure effective security throughout the value chain.
Displays highest level of trust and integrity able to manage high-level, sensitive matters requiring sound judgement and discretion.
Excellent written and oral communications.
A proven team player, yet able to work independently; ability to complete projects.
Must be able to influence others and collaborate with all levels of the business.
