Responsibilities:
- Works with Corporate Security Manager in establishing and implementing processes to manage, track and oversee compliance to corporate security requirements for security analysis and correction
- Performs vulnerability and site assessments, coordinates penetration testing, etc. and provides recommendations and necessary follow-up with sites concerning evaluation results
- Provides updates to Corporate Security Manager concerning status of security measures via the Corporate Security matrix and provides security incident issues and trends
- Provides effective communication of requirements and develops a cooperative relationship with companywide stakeholders and security force suppliers to reinforce proper security measures
- Works with site locations in providing guidance and oversight for required security measures
- Coordinates and oversees performance of the guard service officers to assess effectiveness in securing the corporate, business and plant locations.
- Provides guidance for standardization, selection, procurement, installation, monitoring, and maintenance of electronic security systems.
- Act as corporate system administrator and interface for sites on central security access control system.
- Performs investigative services, including investigation of employment applications, criminal offenses against Company assets or employees, and employee misconduct.
- Works with Corporate SecurityManager to manage and track compliance to regulatory requirements including MTSA, CFATS and NERC CIP.
- Assists in development and establishment of security training programs for Company employees.
- Assists in conducting security assessments, investigations, travel alerts, and providing security training and services for Company personnel traveling or relocating to foreign countries.
Qualifications:
- At least five years of extensive professional experience in the corporate/industrial security or law enforcement field. (Preference will be given to a candidate that has made a transition from law enforcement and has professional experience in the private sector for five plus years).
- Ability to direct corporate investigations and to personally, confidentially and effectively conduct interviews, obtain signed statements, gather, collect, document and preserve admissible evidence to interface with appropriate law enforcement agencies and to appropriately prepare written investigative reports.
- Familiarity with federal, state and local law enforcement and regulatory agencies personnel and practices; knowledge of NERC CIP standards on physical security, MTSA and CFATs regulations a plus
- Accomplished in dealing with contract security services, including guard service, electronic security systems, private investigators and search dogs.
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders to execute security measures to their maximum potential and achieve buy-in of security practices.
- Ability to enforce compliance with corporate policies and procedures in a multi-business unit environment.
Education:
- Two-year college degree preferably in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Liberal Arts or Engineering.
Working Conditions :
Work is normally in an office environment in the headquarters building. However, work is often performed at various locations within the United States or in foreign countries, sometimes under stressful conditions and/or in unpleasant locations such as in high crime areas, during all kinds of weather and frequently in addition to and after normal working hours at night, on weekends and holidays. Ability to travel extensively on short notice is required.
Employee is required to respond by telephone or in person during on-duty and off-duty hours.
Employee is required to furnish a vehicle for daily business use and after-hour emergency response.
