Job Description
As the Regional Security Manager, you will be responsible for implementing standard physical security systems and equipment and service, electronic security systems, executive protection, facility risk assessments, service contracts, training of physical security personnel, and related compliance with the Bank Protection Act (BPA) in a market. Develops the overall corporate physical security strategy; implements physical security programs, policies and procedures.
Typical Duties:
Decides upon development and administration of physical security policies.
Meet with Federal (FBI), State and local law enforcement, and act as liaison with Homeland security.
Communicates with Peer Banks with mutual security concerns
Coordinates planning and response procedures with Business Resiliency Group
Responsible for the safeguarding of employees, buildings, materials and evaluation of existing procedures
Reviews and analyzes current conditions to identify new areas of risk and identify proper applications to mitigate.
Has an extensive view and develops long term plans which impact multiple markets.
Investigates issues/concerns with security through liaison with local police, employees and 3rd party consultants.
Develops, manages and communicates multi-year corporate security capital budget, expense plan and funding strategy to Execs and Sr Leaders.
Architects and designs new policies, security system platforms and procedures.
Reviews results of the research conducted on new and innovative approaches to training of security systems and procedures for possible application and implementation.
Oversees the vendor relationship to ensure all service level agreements are met.
Manages and develops business relationship of outsourced security vendors, e.g., guards, alarm monitoring, physical and electronic security installations, video surveillance and ATM’s.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively with Senior Managers and public.
Exceptional degree of organizational skills
Experienced manager of personnel, vendors, equipment and technical service contracts
Proven ability to assess and integrate local, regional and corporate needs with corporate initiatives.
Proficient in analyzing and compiling statistical data.
Expert knowledge of electronic security systems operations, installation, services, and repair.
Expert knowledge of physical security operations.
Manage thorough and effective investigations.
Expert at critical incident response.
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement, Business or related field
At least 8+ year’s prior experience in physical security, contracts management and control experience required.
Would accept a level of experience in lieu of education
