Position Summary:
The K9 Program Manager is responsible for all actions associated with support of WPS and WPS 2 OCONUS and CONUS K9 projects. As part of the LPMO, the K9 Program Manager reports to the Local Program Manager and coordinates with Recruiting, Human Resources, Contracts and Finance departments, as well as Project administration to ensure: 1) development of database and support process for invoices; 2)compliance with current K9 operations contract and industry standards; 3) compliance with the Client’s K9 operations contract and industry standards; 3)
planning and execution of K9 projects as designated by LPMO; 4) coordination with Project administration on personnel and program support issues; 5) Project needs are represented and managed at corporate for all administrative issues; 6) coordination and management of all CONUS K9 support operations and purchases.
Essential Functions:
Tracking of indirect budgets
Coordinate with Project and Finance department to resolve payroll issues
Research Aegis current contract(s) and industry standards for policy and compliance inquiries
Draft and edit reports, statements of work and SOPs for LPMO as they apply to the contract
Oversee short term and long term K9 projects as directed by the LPMO
Respond to inquiries from HTP, DOS CVC and COR as directed by LPMO
Deploy for periods up to 45 days to Project (OCONUS) when required
Liaise with Project administration and personnel to address any deployment issues
Focal point for K9 Project personnel promotion/BIO submissions for new CLINS through the BIO process at corporate
Coordinate with Security and Human Resources departments on personnel compliance matters
Non-Essential Functions:
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned according to the needs of the customer/client
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Operational oversight of all CONUS K9 operational support functions
Crucial Requirements and Abilities:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree or a combination of equivalent secondary credits or experience commiserate to the position
A minimum of 10 years of relevant working K9 experience, preferably in the military, law enforcement or defense contracting related
A minimum of 10 years contract management experience in K9 operations contracting and management
Extensive experience in Explosives Detection K9 operations, training, certifications and validations.
Experience in overseas project/program operations to include Afghanistan and Iraq
Experience in the National Odor Recognition Testing validation standard
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Teleworking: At discretion of supervisor
Travel: As required (OCONUS/CONUS)
Physical Demands: The physical demands listed below, though not fully inclusive, must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a long period of the time
The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job
The employee will work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment
During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise

Ability to work independently and in conjunction with various departments, project administration, consultants and the client
Willingness to work outside normal business hours to communicate with OCONUS staff, as well as key periods of additional immediate workload deadlines
Comprehensive research, analysis and business writing skills
Working knowledge in the following:
Microsoft PowerPoint – Slide building creation
Microsoft Outlook – ability to manage Shared Calendars and schedules
Excel to include formulas, pivot tables and macros
Share Point – Storage of files, building site as well as managing takers and calendar
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
Self-motivated ability to perform well in a high pace, fast changing work environment
Ability to identify risk situations and coordinate solutions with management
Strong organization skills.
Ability to work well with others under deadline situations
Flexibility and maturity are a must
Ability to work remotely while on a travel status without physical management or supervision
