Description
LGS Innovations, a leader in solving the most complex networking and communications challenges, is seeking a VP of Corporate Security in our Herndon, VA office. This person will o versee and direct the management and implementation
of the Company’s security policies and programs, including facility clearance and industrial security, corporate physical security, and information security. The Vice President, Corporate Security (VP CS) will be responsible for directing a team of managers and individual contributors at multiple locations in the successful performance and administration of these security areas and the security aspects of contract programs subject to the U.S. National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other U.S. Government requirements. The VP CS will engage senior and functional Company leaders in setting the Company’s security strategy and in reviewing and implementing appropriate security policies and practices throughout the organization. The VP CS will ensure the highest standards of security conduct, appearance, performance, training, and customer service are being met and will report directly to the Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Direct security personnel at all Company locations in the identification, development, implementation, and maintenance of security policies, processes, and programs designed to reduce company risk, quickly respond to any security incidents, and limit exposure to liability in all areas of physical, government regulatory, and information security
Update and modify the Company’s security program to keep pace with global conditions, company growth, and industry developments resulting in changes to risk potential
Procure and manage the outsourcing of various security services
Serve as principal security advisor to the Company’s leadership team and Security Committee of the Board regarding security of the Company
Lead, manage, and support the Facility Security Officers and their security teams.These teams assist with the operational oversight of the Company’s compliance with the requirements of the NISPOM and other applicable government security directives regarding the appropriate safeguarding of classified information and controlled unclassified information in the possession of the Company.
Ensure establishment, delivery, and review of corporate and government security programs that consists of the following key components:
Perform comprehensive security risk assessments of existing or potential facilities.
Maintain protection of facilities, including access control and/or guard services.
Provide liaison function to law enforcement/local government
Maintain threat identification program that identifies potential threats directed at the Company, its employees or its assets.
Maintain information security and intellectual property security programs to protect the company from loss and liability.
Conduct due diligence security inquiry support regarding potential Company acquisitions, joint ventures or other partnership opportunities.
Maintain travel security and personal protection programs when appropriate to include providing country risk advisories for international travel and support to company personnel’s activities in high risk countries (e.g. housing, escort protection services, transportation services, evacuation, etc.)
In coordination with other divisions, develop, coordinate and implement emergency and contingency plans for continuity of operations and other risk management scenarios
Develop and coordinate security training programs.
Travel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
Understand, adhere to, and promote all LGS Ethical and Compliance policies
Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policies and procedures
Perform other duties as required
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor’s degree in a security-related domain and at least 10 years of experience in corporate security programs, particularly those under the U.S. NISPOM and DCIDS or an equivalent combination of skills, education, and related experience
Ability to obtain and maintain aU.S. Government Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/poly (US citizenship is a prerequisite)
Travel as required to various sites where the Company conducts its business.Travel could be on short notice, and could constitute as much as 25% of time.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the NISPOM including Supplements and the Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCIDs).
Effective communications and presentation skills at all levels of the corporation, and with key external customers and constituents.
Knowledge of policies, procedures, laws and ordinances on both state and national levels related to risk management and security issues.
Must be a leader, motivator, and independent thinker
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, etc.)
