Job Description
We seek standard and non-standard forces training support personnel to provide support to multiple agencies, deployers and units to ensure personnel are trained and equipped appropriately and validate theater entry requirements for both standard and non-standard forces. Provide reach-back and individual support to deployers and UDMs on a continual basis. This task is in support of AFCENT/A3.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate with USCENTCOM, AF MAJCOMs, numbered Air Forces, world-wide AF units and sister services to ensure deploying Airmen supporting Joint Expeditionary Tasking (JET) and Individual Augmentee (IA) taskings are properly trained and equipped.
Provide continuous data support for deploying airmen and unit deployment managers (UDMs) through use of JOPES/DCAPES, personnel web sites, SVTC, conference calls and face-to face communication.
Review, edit and update deployment line remarks and provides them to AFPC/DPWPA for insertion into the line remark library posted on AEF online. Continually scans library to prevent duplicating line remarks to prevent unit/personnel confusion.
Provide Combat Skills Training guidance and information to HAF/MAJCOM/NAF/ Task Force FAMs and UDMs world-wide. Provide continual support to deployed leadership at all levels.
Schedule US Army Military Police School’s (USAMPS) Evasive Driving Course and the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Individual Terrorism Awareness Class (INTAC) for Office of Defense Representative to Pakistan (ODRP) and Afghanistan Pakistan Hands (APH) program personnel.
Validate, coordinate and build pre-deployment training waiver, exemption, and venue change request packages for ACC/A3O approval. Ensure training requirements conform to applicable regulation and mission requirements.
Assist USAF Expeditionary Center (EC) and the 422 Joint Tactics Squadron to sponsor the Air Expeditionary Group (AEG) Staff Course. Schedule required personnel. Provide weekly updates to the EC Registrar’s Office. Update lesson plans and slide presentations for course briefings and handouts. Coordinate re-scheduling requests.
USAFCENT POC for Fire Retardant (FR) uniforms. Validate requirements and field AF-wide inquiries concerning Airman Battlefield System-Ground (ABS-G) and Operation Enduring Freedom Camouflage Pattern (OCP) FR uniform procurement. Establish procedures, prioritize, and develop sustainment way-ahead with HAF/A4LE and USAFCENT/A4R.
USAFCENT non-standard forces theater entry requirements liaison to USCENTCOM/CCJ7-T Training Branch.
Review and provide recommendations for DOS taskings and training requirements to include Office of Security Cooperation-Iraq (OSC-I) waiver requests to the USAFCENT/A3.
Perform annual line-by-line review of Force Tracking Numbers (FTNs) that require Army Combat Skills Training (CST) with Joint Staff J31 office, 2AF/EDP and 602d TRG(P) to ensure training is correct for the mission.
Develop and manage equipment listings for all JET airmen, IA airmen and the 466 AEG and their subordinate staff. Continually update listings and upload changes to AEF Online.
Required Skills and Experience:
Three (3) years’ experience in Non-Standard Forces Training Requirements (NSFTR) and Joint Sourced Training Oversight (JSTO) development. Must have at least one (1) year experience in Request for Forces, Force Tracking Numbers, Joint Manning Documents, and Unit Line Numbers management and performing deliberate and crisis action planning at the MAJCOM level. Must have at least one (1) year experience at the Numbered Air Force or higher level.
Air Advisor and Instructional System Design (ISD) experience desired. Strong background in staff officer functions to include tasker management, briefing and writing skills.
Secret/SCI and NATO Secret security clearance
