Description
Develop, implement, and oversee new standards to unify security
practices at all North America Tire and Chemical Plants.
Liaison between plant managers, HR managers, outside local law
enforcement agencies/legal representation for plants, and Goodyear

Manage trained security guards, electronic security systems and
communications center serving Akron and global operations.
Requirements
Required: Bachelor’s Degree Desired: Criminal Justice or Business Administration
Five to Seven years working in a security environment with 2 years of Direct Management experience. Also, experience managing contract security guards.
Previous management experience, general overall security knowledge, basic investigation skills, effective communication and writing skills, knowledge of crisis management.
Tasks
Conduct internal audits and physical assessments of security practices, policies and procedures, hiring practices and requirements, post orders, and equipment functionality. Ensure that current required training and certifications are being maintained.
Training: Develop standardized program for all NAT. This will include initial and continual training practices
Communications Center & Crisis Management: This includes, but is not limited to workplace violence issues, review reports and investigate incidents and/or discrepancies, equipment functionality, and inventory. Manage a 24 hr/day, 7-day/wk communications center serving Akron and global operations for incoming “hot lines”, crisis management incidents, general calls (after hours) of a corporate nature (customer service); dispatch security, emergency services and chauffeurs; and disseminate information via telephone, email or electronic documents (police reports) as appropriate on all important matters using associate data bases (emergency and non-emergency).
Develop positive working relationships with HR Managers, as well as Contract Security Branch Managers at each Plant. Conduct bi-weekly meetings to discuss progress and identify other security related issues. Serve as liaison with local public law enforcement agencies for mutual aid and assistance.
Management: This includes a staff of 21 trained uniformed security guards who possess versatile skills and education, in the protection of people and property (tangible and intangible), responding to events and conditions which threaten company assets or the business environment. Additionally, electronic security systems and hardware which supplement the security staff in
the areas of access control, emergency communications, surveillance and early detection of fire, smoke, water and security threats.
