Essential Functions
Oversees the administrative supervision of the global security organization. Provides protection for personnel and company property. Develops and implements global and local procedures to meet required codes and regulations. Prepares and maintains all required security manuals. Analyzes loss control and accident reports. Conducts internal investigations in accordance with legal requirements and company policies. Responsibilities may include developing and implementing security awareness programs, extra protection for key employees, travel security assistance, and security risk assessment and planning in the area of crisis management. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Responsible for managing global security vendors, evaluating new vendors and assessing their performance against agreed upon Key Performance Indicators. Conducts risks assessments for global real estate locations and develops security plans that address identified risk. Recommends and manages security levels for each Polycom location.
Qualifications
Strong organizational, project management and analytical skills - Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and timeframes
- Demonstrated ability to actively manage the budget process, inc. forecasting, accruals, variance analysis, cost reduction opportunities
- Creative problem solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to gain cooperation of others
- BA or equivalent with 5+ years of related security experience or 10+ years of related security experience. Minimum of 5 years managing security programs.
- Previous experience managing multiple facilities preferred
- Ability to lead a geographically dispersed team.
- Working knowledge of U.S./International governmental rules and regulations relating security highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and computer skills. Experience with industry related and financial software programs highly desirable.
-Additional training in emergency management, business continuity, homeland security, and law enforcement highly desirable.
-First aid/CPR certified
-Experience leading and managing ERT teams as well as business continuity plans highly desirable.
