This position is responsible for protecting corporate assets by developing and integrating security
strategies; enhancing security awareness; leading the execution of the Company’s security program, including physical, technical, personnel, procedural and supporting electronic security.
Responsibilities:
Establish corporate security strategy and priorities with feedback from Corporate and Divisional leadership.
Develop and maintain an understanding of each business unit’s strategic priorities, products and services and growth plans.
Develop and maintain an enterprise-wide security program that will enable enhanced security of employees and other Company assets.
Execute corporate security objectives including physical security procedures for all locations, including system, personnel and project level threat assessments.
Develop an executive security strategy consistent with corporate priorities and industry best practices.
Develop and maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and protective agencies to ensure real-time communication of security related information.
Create and manage security related financial objectives, including capital, training and loss prevention programs.
Collaborate with IT department around cyber security priorities for Company.
Maintain in-depth awareness of state-of-the-art electronic security systems and establish standards for security system specifications.
Assists with the development of business continuity, crisis plans and communication protocols that will ensure an orderly response to a variety of events, including; work stoppages, bomb threats, earthquakes, civil unrest, workplace violence, etc.
Evaluate contract guard service companies in terms of training programs, quality of personnel, supervision, costs, etc. and develop standards of performance.
Conduct high-level and/or sensitive internal and external investigations relating to corporate compliance, theft, employee misconduct and other issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, industrial security, police science, law or related field.
CPP or relevant industry designations highly preferred.
A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in a private-sector or other highly responsible security position with broad responsibilities, including; high-profile security programs, physical security, investigations, etc., or comparable experience as a manager in a highly regarded law enforcement organization.
Significant background in security management and critical infrastructure protection.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal/external customers and track record of developing results-oriented business relationships.
Demonstrated team-oriented management style.
Proven self-starter, requiring little supervision to take initiative and execute above responsibilities.
Demonstrated organizational, performance management and time management skills.
