Cobham is seeking a Vice President, Security to provide hands on security leadership across the Sector,
including multiple North American sites totaling 3,700 employees. The position will be responsible for all security activities in the Sector under the regulations of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) including those involving Foreign Ownership Control and Influence (FOCI) for foreign owned US defense contractors.
The position reports to the Sector President.
Responsibilities:
• Leading security personnel at multiple sites in the development and implementation of security processes and ensuring compliance with Sector policies and applicable laws and regulations.
• Will be responsible for forecasting security requirements and implementing plans to meet those requirements.
• Will direct the Sector’s security programs to ensure the effective protection of personal and property across the business and the protection of classified, ITAR, and other export controlled information Areas of oversight and responsibility include asset protection, Special Security Agreement (SSA) compliance, Industrial security, and have experience with special access programs and investigative services. Inherent in this role is the responsibility to protect all Government and CAES property.
• Will exhibit the ability to interact at the most senior levels of the organization, interfacing with both the CAESHI Board of Directors and Government Security Committee (GSC).
• Will work with the members of the GSC in assuring all compliance obligations are met and that decisions involving the interaction with Affiliates to the SSA are done properly to eliminate potential Control and Influence (FOCI)
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 15 years related experience
• Broad scope of experience in all aspects of security including: physical, industrial security, information security and information technology
• Experience with SSA, Special Programs, NISPOM and ITAR
• Proficient knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP)
• Demonstrated success in leading organization change and transformation
• Security Management experience in security functions.
• Intimately familiar with all the mitigation tools required by the SSA including control of data release process, Visit requests, email review, phone logs, co-location (FLP), Affiliate Operations Plans(AOP),Electronic Communications Plans (ECP), Implementation Plans (IP) etc.
• Experience working with the Defense Security Service (DSS) especially the DSS FOCI Division and other Government Security Agencies.
• Will possess strong people-leadership skills with an ability to provide challenging assignments, help employees connect their efforts to the bigger picture, create an inclusive work environment characterized by mutual respect and the valuing of differences, and build a culture that balances caring and accountability and motivate employees to their highest levels of performance.
• Must be customer, team oriented and able to function with minimal direction.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Travel Domestically and Internationally, 50%
• U.S. citizen
• Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information
