We are seeking an accomplished leader focusing on achieving the highest level of safety and security to mitigate threats and risks to company executives and the business operation in which they work. The successful candidate will bring executive protection and leadership experience to assess and prioritize identified risks and direct the workflow in the areas of executive safety and security, site security, security systems, business travel (domestic & international). The successful candidate will also possess strategic and operational experience, strong collaboration, and communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the leader of a fast-paced and dynamic team of approximately 15 professionals, you will be working closely with the Chief Security Officer on both strategic and operational issues relating to the following:
Lead the security management efforts in mitigating the risk and threat conditions for our executives
Develop intelligence methodologies and requirements to analyze, mitigate and effectively communicate potential threats, including identifying and vetting information sources
Expand intelligence strategies and plans to support risk assessments of the executives and key business operations
Manage staff performance, key metrics, and identify actionable gaps
Build, maintain, and leverage relationships with key external agencies, industry groups, and other multinational entities, to include; State Department, Regional Security Officers, OSAC, Legal Attaches and others as required
Benchmark with partners and peers in the industry to identify and share best practices, and bring new, innovative ideas
Build relationships and business acumen with other internal business partners, to identify stakeholder needs, identify potential gaps, and enhance our security culture
Lead targeted research projects, special studies and analysis of intelligence information
Manage vendor relationships
Qualifications
10+ years experience in security, military, or law enforcement including corporate executive protection
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college or university; Master’s Degree preferred
5+ years of proven and successful experience in a leadership role with skills in coaching, mentoring and team development
In depth knowledge of executive protection and proven experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
Experience in integrating and improving travel security programs, particularly in hostile environments and emerging markets.
Clear and concise oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Dynamic interpersonal aptitude
Keen analytical thinker with proven ability to fuse qualitative data and qualitative analysis and produce company specific risk assessments.
Highly skilled at developing relationships and rapport with key stakeholders, including partnering effectively with key business lines within the organization with proven consultative and client relationship skills
Demonstrated change management, project management and problem-solving skills.
Strong strategic and operational capabilities with experience of assessing and executing operational contingency plans based on threats and exposure to business executives.
The ability to exercise convincing leadership during incidents
Strong cross-group collaboration and relationship management skills including directing & coordinating remote teams to achieve deliverables
Attention to accuracy as well as the ability to work under pressure, consistently meet deadlines, and prioritize according to business needs
Minimal travel required
