General Statement of Job
The Security Manager is a true and proven leader with a strong background in organizational management and leadership development within a Corporate Security environment. The Security Manager will work daily with high profile client organizations and the respective client's security executive management team and other proprietary security stakeholders. The Security Manager will focus on physical security leadership and organizational capabilities, program efficiency and effectiveness increases, and meeting current and future client needs. The Security Manager reports directly to the Senior Director of Operations.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
• Serves as client point of contact to ensure the delivery of high quality customer service; evaluates and reports service quality and initiates any necessary corrective action in a timely manner
• Ongoing strategic focus on tactical implementation deliverables and functions
• Responsible for assessing, mentoring, and developing all levels of leadership affiliated with the client from an internal perspective
• Assess and review the entirety of the security operation program and the organizational structure within to identify areas of potential organizational improvement
• Responsible for physical security threat management and risk mitigation
• Partner with various internal and external client stakeholders to fully understand their desires and partner with security management to ensure proper delivery
• Responsible for identifying areas of program improvement, expansions of service, customer service
improvements and other evolutionary changes
• Strategically identify needed change initiatives and be fully involved in the development, planning, and implementation of said changes
• Critically analyze the reporting process to include alarm monitoring, incident response, tracking and
reporting of performance metrics and other service areas
• Respond in a timely manner to emergent events, issues, staffing deficiencies and client requests
• Initiate preliminary investigations and write incident reports on all internal personnel issues and
complete proper documentation
• Maintain relationships with Federal, State and Local law enforcement and other government
agencies in support of private-public partnership initiatives
• Responsible for any and all decisions regarding hiring, development, and firing of personnel within the Operation

Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum Training and Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Business Management or related discipline preferred OR any equivalent combination of education, specialized training and/or experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities required
• Minimum 5 years of experience (if possess a BA/BS Degree) in safety and security management, law enforcement and/or military with an emphasis in Safety & Security program development and management. Minimum of 10 years of experience without.
• Demonstrated understanding of best practices in physical security strategies, principles, standards, policies and procedures
• Must have experience using quality assurance techniques and strategies to monitor and improve performance and ensure compliance with contractually set Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Must have demonstrated experience and knowledge of enterprise access control and alarm monitoring systems; previous experience with S2 highly preferred
• Must have effective time management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, facilitation, and organizational skills
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 10-15% of the time
• Availability to work various days and times as needed, with an emphasis on normal business days and hours
• Must have an executive level verbal and especially written communication skills
• Must have impeccable work ethic and high degree of integrity
• Must be technically proficient with common PC/MAC based software and applications
• Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required
