Job Description
Responsible to plan and direct the provision of a comprehensive security services for the facilities within the tactical area of responsibility.
Responsible for the creation and implementation of security policies, procedures and assignment instructions.
Monitor operational incidents/activities and ensure identified threats/vulnerabilities are addressed in the facility’s security protection plan, in order to provide maximum protection to client assets.
Design and completion of physical security assessments for client locations to ensure defined security standards are being met
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to conduct investigations into breaches of security.
Provision of administrative and management oversight in planning, coordinating, and managing the security operations of various client facilities
Plan, direct, and evaluate the daily operations of Security Services across multiple client locations.
Lead, collaborate with, and support the supervisory team to create best practices in the oversight of operations. Create ongoing opportunities for an exchange of ideas, ensure timely cascading of information in both verbal and written formats.
Provide guidelines for professional development of staff and facilitate access to training opportunities that align with guidelines.
Screening and hiring of new staff in collaboration with HR.
Ensure adequate staffing and manages staff scheduling.
Ensure proper use and functioning of physical security systems such as access control and surveillance systems support Security Services.
Provide annual performance assessments for direct reports and assist in providing performance assessments for staff.
Recommend revisions to the Security Management Plan; monitor compliance and implement changes.
Manage the use of resources to optimize the quality of services.
Provide recommendations and input into the budgeting process.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements; ensure that all pertinent requirements are documented as is appropriate.
Lead investigations as directed involving security issues, collaborating closely with Client representatives, Human Resources, and appropriate public law enforcement and/or regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field
7-10 years progressive experience in private sector security (may substitute law enforcement or military experience)
Proven track record of advancement and success in previous roles
Must be flexible to work weekends and evenings as required
Proven project management skills with an ability to achieve results
Strong intellect with a balance of strategic thinking and analytical skills
Diplomacy in dealing with company personnel in sensitive situations
