Job Description
JSOFT: Senior InstructorTracking Code213929-009Job DescriptionConduct new equipment training (NET) for the receiving combatant units in both classroom settings and live-fire environments using on-site government facilities and range support. Provide gaining units with a list of requirements necessary to support the units for the NET (i.e. classroom size, equipment, etc.). Train individual SOF Operators for which the new equipment is assigned. Train unit trainers separately in accordance with the SOW. Ensure NET covers both individual and collective firing skills in accordance with the SOW. Ensure NET includes both doctrinal and combat lessons-learned skills. NET will not dictate local tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), however, NET will provide a fundamental tactical training baseline from which local TTP can be developed or adapted. Coordinate for follow-on Computer Based Training (CBT) after initial NET is conducted. Provide refresher training as directed.
Required Skills
18B (Weapons) qualification.
Must be a graduate of a Core Unique Instructor Training course.
Must be proficient in conducting weapons maintenance.
Must have proficiency in vehicle driving and maintenance, pyrotechnic and demolition materials, visual augmentation systems.Required Experience
Minimum of 5 years instructional knowledge.
Minimum of 3 years instructing SOF Weapons, SOPMOD, and other SOF equipment.
Minimum of 5 years experience conducting weapons maintenance.
Must possess and maintain a current certification in Basic First Aid (as defined by the American Red Cross)
Must possess and maintain a current certification in CPR (as defined by the American Red Cross).
Must be willing deploy and be able to gain pre-deployment medical/dental/psychological clearance and complete all other pre-deployment requirements as specified.
