The world’s leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Training Manager.  In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the uniformed services provided at a high profile client's facilities meet or exceed the requirements set forth in policy, contracts, procedures, and applicable laws.  The Training Manager is responsible for the training and instructional leadership of all data center security staff and will manage, professionally develop, motivate and assess the security team.  This position will develop computerized, on the job training, in a dedicated portal and with an optimized ability to review training records electronically as well as create proactive training plans based upon data center ongoing information analyses.

Role Responsibility:
  • Manage training program; develop, prepare, and teach appropriate training programs; ensure proper inclusion in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Competency Management function and other training records; conduct and/or oversee all training for security personnel reporting to the area/branch office (e.g. state licensing, contract specific, annual refresher courses); data entry; filing and records maintenance; ensure training compliance
  • Ensure that laws and regulations that might affect the contract are reviewed and changes are implemented as necessary
  • Prepare compliance reports and to identify areas for improvement associated with contract-specific policies, practices, and procedures
  • Coordinate, develop, deliver and manage employee training and development programs; conduct needs assessments; identify training needs; develop and/or customize training courses, content and materials; oversee and deliver training; evaluate effectiveness; and make adjustments as necessary to improve training and outcomes
  • Provide regular reports to management regarding training initiatives, scheduling and effectiveness of employee and organizational development initiatives
  • Develop and implement method of measuring the effectiveness of training programs
  • Conduct and facilitate training sessions, presenting information clearly and concisely to various audiences

The Ideal Candidate:
Education, Licenses and Certifications Required
  • Pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • College degree in criminal justice, education, or other related field
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training program/educational curriculum development
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, certification in each of the following:
    • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
    • Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
    • First Aid
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required
  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of classroom instructor experience to include platform delivery of training
  • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in different functionalities in the training department of a large enterprise
  • Must possess work history demonstrating each of the following:
    • Ability to coach and motivate others
    • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple objectives with little to no direct supervision
    • Proficiency in technical writing for the development of procedures and training manuals

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the State
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be willing and able to travel with little to no advance notice
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write clearly and effectively in the English language
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
  • Pursuant to the requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations at 22 CFR 120-130, must be a United State Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment). 
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
  • Upon acceptance of a job offer, must be able to pass the following:
    • MMPI - Psychological testing, if armed or otherwise required
    • Physical exam, if armed or required by client contract
