Description
Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, Mexico, Caribbean, Latin America (MCLA)
Region, the MIA Global Investigations Senior Investigator conducts investigations into incidents of fraud, loss, theft, employee misconduct, and violations of American Airlines’ Rules of Conduct, while protecting the customers, employees and corporate assets of the airline.
Act as a liaison with all levels of law enforcement on criminal and security matters
Identify risk and suggest solutions to help mitigate loss.
Assist with the development and implementation of fraud detection/preventions systems
Coordinate investigative activities with other business units
Become familiar with and enforce all government and airline security regulations
Perform other duties as required by business needs of the department
Qualifications
Minimum ten years’ experience with Customs and Border Protection and/or Homeland Security Investigations
Experienced in conducting witness and suspect interviews
Strong analytical skill including the ability to research, analyze and present investigative findings
Ability to pass criminal history check to obtain necessary access media to perform duties
Strong verbal and written communications skills with attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to change work schedule as dictated by the needs of the department
