Key Role:

Provide professional consultant services, operations training, instructional support, and classroom and simulator instruction to the Commanding Officer, Fleet Training Center (FTC), Jeddah, KSA regarding naval operations, in general, and the responsibilities associated with duties of an afloat operations officer, in particular, including assuming primary responsibility for delivering technical instruction to junior-and-mid-grade Operations officer personnel, maintaining responsibility for coordinating activities to provide general military instruction on current naval science topics, such as Naval Operations, Ship Handling, Rules of the Road, Command Duty Officer (CDO), Officer of the Deck (OOD), and other related professional and maritime topics of interest, such as support for Naval Tactical Team Trainers. Deliver specific instruction on maritime operations topics, including ASW, EW, ASUW, and AAW and mentor junior- and mid-grade officer personnel with a specific focus on Naval Underway Operations. Develop simulator scenarios related to underway operations, coordinate, manage, and direct all simulator exercises as directed by CO, FTC, and Jeddah, coordinate and lead curriculum review efforts ensuring quality assurance, accuracy, and standardization of course content, curriculum review efforts ensuring quality assurance, accuracy, and standardization of course content. Provide classroom and simulator instruction to junior- and mid-grade operations officers in an effort to develop and expand their professional qualifications as Operations Officers. Act as a mentor to this same pool of officer personnel to further develop leadership and managerial expertise. Provide superior consultancy services at FTC, Jeddah, Naval Forces School (NFS), and Jeddah and the Western Fleet to maintain the established business footprint while proactively identifying new business leads to expand the firm’s business offerings. Play a major role in securing long-term business for the firm, including SNEP II contracts.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:-Experience as an Operations Officer, including Lieutenant, LCDR, or Commander with current operational expertise-Experience on an afloat staff-Experience as an FTG, TACTRAGRU, or ATG instructor-trainer-Experience with developing simulator afloat and underway training scenarios-Experience with Microsoft Office products to maintain curriculum materials-Ability to live and work for extended periods in the Saudi Arabian culture and environment-Ability to stand for extended period and climb stairs at the client site-Ability to obtain a security clearance-BA degree-Warfare Qualification as a SWO
Additional Qualifications:-Experience as an afloat Executive Officer or Commanding Officer-Experience as an instructor preferred-Experience with NAVEDTRA 130 series instructions-Experience with teaching ROTC or at Service School Training Command, including Surface Warfare Officer’s School (SWOS)-Experience with the Arab culture and language-Ability to show service on an AEGIS combatant-Ability to work in a collaborative environment, develop solutions, and make recommendations on complex tasks-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills-MA degree in a military-related field a plus-Master Training Specialist (MTS) Designation a plus
