Security Operations Supervisor

This is an operations position which requires moderate supervision and will be responsible for managing security and safety functions for the Travelers campuses in St. Paul, MN
and a variety of other Travelers facilities in United States under the direction of the 2nd Vice President – Corporate Security Operations. Incumbent will perform a wide range of security activities including; supervision of the St. Paul Control Center, owned and leased property emergency preparedness and life safety programs, executive protection support, basic investigations, safety reviews, field training, supervise contract service providers, security program and system reviews at owned and leased facilities. Implements programs and processes as directed.

Specific duties may include:
Daily briefings to Corporate Security Leadership on operations pertaining to personnel and events.
Quality Assurance on all documentation.
Responding to and managing emergency situations.
Establishing relationships with city, county, state and federal law enforcement.
Develop, teach, and implement, emergency response programs, drills.
Develop and maintain an effective partnership with business and corporate support units.
Select and manage external vendors to create a collaborative and integrated emergency response and planning effort.
Prepare and monitor budgets as directed.
Present training programs to Travelers employees and contract employees.
Brief senior and executive management on status of security issues.
Support the activities and provide leadership direction to the professional, technical and support staff within the security and safety organization.
Manage security programs including: Workplace violence prevention programs, contract guard services, technical security programs, access control and CCTV.

Qualification Guidelines:
Bachelor degree in an area of study relevant to this position and more than 5 years of experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public service or private sector security organization. Certification preferred.
