Responsibilities:
Functions as a security assistant for the Contract Guard Program: Provides security support functions such as: assisting with processing and tracking funding requisitions; tracking cost estimates; certifying guard hours, reviewing duty logs; performing data entry tasks; administering and monitoring training records, management plans, and post orders; processing and tracking' contract documents, filing.
The positions will include diverse and various clerical and administrative responsibilities in support of FPS regional program and field office staff. The contractor will provide general research, administrative, and clerical support, to include word processing for document preparation, management and maintenance of information and/or data as required by FPS Region 6. The execution of duties required shall be performed independently and without direct supervision.
Assists in preparation activities and report generation activities associated with the conduct of assessments and inspections; Assist Physical Security Program Manager in the administration and over site of a Physical Security Program. Conduct research and collect information to assist in drafting physical security policy and procedure documents. Maintain physical security reference materials. Assist, as directed, in the conduct of investigations into reports of theft, loss, damage or intrusion into sensitive operational facilities. Individual will review draft and finished reports to ensure they are accurate and understandable. Must demonstrate ability to write clear, concise, grammatically sound and comprehensive reports; must have basic understanding of the concepts and principles of the U.S. Government physical security system and programs. Plans and provides analytical support for facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, business management techniques, and organizational development. Supports DHS business process improvements and modernization projects. The execution of duties required shall be performed independently and without direct supervision.
Qualifications:
Functional Responsibility: Performs security and/or intelligence services in one or more of the specialized security and/or intelligence areas. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Applying incident management, problem solving, and task performance. Producing finished documentation; e.g., reports, special studies, policy and procedure development, security designs, training programs and assessments. Providing research and technical support to projects. Producing solutions and documentation. Monitoring project tasks and schedules.
Minimum Experience & Education: With a Bachelor’s Degree this position requires two years of relevant experience, one of which should be experience relevant to the nature of the contract work. With an Associate’s Degree this position requires three years of relevant experience, two of which should be experience relevant to the nature of the contract work. With no degree this position requires five years of relevant experience, three of which should be relevant to the nature of the contract work. Relevant experience may include, but is not limited
to: Experience within one or more of the standard security and/or intelligence fields e.g.; technical, physical, information, personnel, operational, or signal security, counterintelligence, antiterrorism, counterterrorism, counter drug, computer security, surveillance, counter surveillance or surveillance detection, infrastructure protection; force protection, technology protection, information operations, industrial security and/or intelligence programs, law enforcement, government or military experience. Subject matter expertise and hands-on experience in one or more security and/or intelligence discipline and experience implementing complex government security and/or intelligence programs and policies is preferable. Requires good writing and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience using word processing and desktop publishing application software and hardware is preferable.
• Experience in responding to requests for information and searching automated systems for data
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Programs
