Subject Matter Expert (Advisory/Assistance)

Project Summary:

The requirements for this contract are to provide advisory and assistance services to DSCA to support the MoDA program which deploys DoD civilians to serve as advisors to partner nation Ministries of Defense or similar government organizations in order to build effective and accountable security institutions. Over 80 advisors are currently deployed to Afghanistan. The FY12 National Defense Authorization Act grants authority for the MoDA program to deploy DoD civilian advisors worldwide. Due to this rapid program growth, the MoDA program office requires contractor support in the areas of human resources, operations support, training, assessment, reach-back development, and global outreach efforts.

Position Requirements:

Provides subject matter expertise for advisor personnel management and program management activities. Familiarity with ministerial level advisory and security cooperation activities and related training and administrative processing systems. Expertise in ministerial level governmental processes, policies, objectives, and initiatives. Identifies alternative courses of action and makes recommendations. Provides expertise to Government technical directors, managers or other stakeholders. Minimum 10 years' experience in the related field; minimum of a bachelor's degree (advanced degrees preferred).
