Job Introduction:
The world’s leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for an Area Supervisor 4.  As an Area Supervisor 4, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the assigned client facilities.  Generally, the Area Supervisor 4 will provide support to the area office and site supervisors, and ensure contract compliance by regularly inspecting and auditing each facility assigned to the area as well as ensuring appropriate staffing.  The Area Supervisor 4 is the primary point-of-contact for all matters relating to each area facility and must coordinate closely with all operational, management, and administrative sections of the area office.  This position also ensures that the uniformed services provided at any area/branch facility meet or exceed requirements set forth in policy, contracts, and applicable laws.

Role Responsibility:
  • Provide supervision to Area Supervisors 1-3, Site Supervisors, and security officers with no on-site supervision on a 24-hour basis
  • Oversee the staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers
  • Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
  • Maintain overtime to a preset requirement designated by G4S USA
  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting and auditing each facility assigned to his/her area
  • Participate and make recommendations in selection and placement of security personnel to contracts in his/her area.  Participate and make recommendations in progressive discipline and conduct performance appraisals of the same
  • Act as the Training Manager; Provide all required training as needed

The Ideal Candidate:
Education, Licenses and Certifications Required
  • Must possess a current and valid driver’s license
  • Post offer, must be able to obtain Custom Protection Officer Instructor designation issued by G4S
  • Must possess Firearms Instructor designation issued by the Georgia Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required
  • Prior classroom instructor experience
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Law enforcement experience
    • Service in the elite military forces (e.g., Navy SEALS, Delta Force, etc.), military police or combat arms
    • Graduate of police/corrections academy
    • Criminal Justice degree, Associates or higher
    • Career military

  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
