Job Description :
Supervises employees who provide physical security and fire protection to safeguard personnel and property. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. May coordinate the activities of patrol cars, emergency firefighting equipment, radar, closed-circuit TV, and communications systems. Establishes regular security inspections and coordinates with firefighting and civil law-enforcement agencies. Responsible for the day to day Security Operations supervision of the contract Security Officers for a 7/24 hour operation. Will serve as the Emergency/Crisis Management Coordinator and will establish programs to monitor compliance and evaluate the effectiveness of the Crisis Management Manual. Responsible for developing and conducting staff training programs and coordinating crisis management response activities, training, and exercises. Manage requirements of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). Develop security control center and access control system solutions for improved operational efficiency and training initiatives. Additionally, successful candidate will be involved in a wide variety of security functions that ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Department of Homeland Security Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosive (BATFE) requirements and Arms, Ammunition & Explosive (AA&E) Requirements.
Basic Qualifications
Must be proficient in the use of computer applications (Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access), access control/closed circuit TV applications, Assured Identity, and badging. Must have strong industrial security related experience. Valid driver’s license required. Must hold or be able to obtain Department of Defense Secret clearance and a private security weapon license. Must be able to obtain HAZWOPER certification and have the ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to work irregular hours, holidays, weekends, call-out and overtime. Candidate must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance. Candidate must have at least an interim secret clearance prior to start.
Desired skills
Prior Security, Military, or Law Enforcement Experience, Computer Software applications related to Security, Report Writing Skills, with demonstrated leadership skills. Prior emergency response, crisis management or first responder experience. Experience and knowledge of the National Incident Management Systems (NIMS). Experience with administering and managing automated access control systems/CCTV/ and Central Monitoring Station operations. Knowledge of Underwriter Lab 2050, NISP, and Closed Area construction. Experience in developing and presenting training materials to staff and others.
