Position Duties:
· Investigate less complex matters not generally assigned Unusual Events (UE) designation up to moderately complex cases designated as Unusual Event (UE)
· Receive Tip Call information from Global Communication Center (GCC) and handle accordingly.
· Conduct investigations that uncover non-compliance with all Ford policies, including violations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA), cases involving the leak of Ford Confidential and Propriety Information, employee and supplier fraud, corporate espionage, and other significant matters that may arise or become known to General Investigations (GI)
· Coordinate investigations with multiple Ford areas, including executives, outside law enforcement agencies, and other companies with guidance.
· Begins to develop effective liaison and working relationships with GAO (Special Investigations), and OGC (Compliance), HR (Personnel Relations), all Regional Investigations Coordinators, CIRT Forensics, Part Brand Protection, plant investigations.
· Observes interviews and interrogations and develop techniques.
· Accesses investigative databases and performs research as required
· Manages Background Investigations (BI) process, conducts limited background investigations, including liaison with outside BI service providers, external law enforcement agencies, Ford Recruiting, and Ford Labor Relations.
· Assist with technical surveys regarding camera installation and maintenance after installing.
· Maintains CSF property inventory sheets, including camera and technical equipment
· Manages evidence appropriately (e.g. chain of custody, equipment confiscation storage, etc.)
· Attend all mandated Corporate Security and Fire training sessions (e.g. State 330, Annual MCOLES, CPR/AED).
Minimum Requirements:
· 7+ years of security, law enforcement, or investigative experience
· Bachelor's degree or High school diploma with equivalent experience in a relevant field
· Available to travel on short notice up to 10% of the time
· Maintain Concealed Pistol License (CPL)
· Successful completion of the State 330 class
· Annual MCOLE firearms qualification
· CPR/AED certification
· Excellent Microsoft Office skills
· Ability to conduct investigations
· Strong investigative interviewing skills
· Strong analytical skills
· Strong decision-making skills
