RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
This position supports a dynamic, evolutionary, and adaptive environment. NECC HSTC primary task is to counter Improvised Explosive Device and defeat integration support to address our critical and advanced IED and force protection training requirements.
Engility will provide continuous assessment of the upkeep, repair and/or replacement of training aids, content update, and associated logistics support that enables the sustainment, use of training devices, training support services, technical services development, operations, system hardware/software updates, technology insertion, and technology refresh actions and small arms instruction.
This training is conducted in San Diego CA, Point Mugu CA, Port Hueneme, China Lake CA, Yorktown VA, Norfolk VA, Gulfport MS, and Fort Jackson SC.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver dynamic weapons instruction for small arms and crew served weapons to include M2/M240/M9/M11/M4/M16
IAW COMNECC 3591 series training and qualification standards.
• Act as line coaches and facilitators for small arms classroom and range training evolutions.
• Travel to other NECC locations, as required, to support small arms instruction.
• Develop & Maintain schedule of events for NECC training exercise including HSTC events
• Liaison with appropriate Naval Facilities (NAVFAC) personnel for continuity to ensure facility maintenance is
scheduled and all areas are environmentally approved for use
• Plan, coordinate and de-conflict short and long range training/maintenance schedules and maintain the training
calendar
• Coordinate HSTC range installation and upgrades to include processing badge requests and escort duty
• Track status of recurring reports and all administrative paperwork/correspondence
• Work will consist of approximately 40 hours per week with possibility of government-adjusted hours to accommodate
mission critical requirements.
Minimum Tangible Qualifications
Current and active secret security clearance
Navy NEC 9502 (Instructor), or Navy NEC 9518 (Naval Leadership Development Program (NAVLEAD) instructor, or Graduate from an approved Instructional Delivery Continuum (IDC) Journeyman Instructor Training (JIT) (A-012-
0077) course, or Instructional Delivery Continuum (IDC) Journeyman Instructor Training (JIT) Mobile Training Team
(A-012-1011), or Naval leadership Facilitator (P-012-0045), or Facilitator Training Course (P-012-0075), or Other DOD Service Designation, Instructor Training Course (ITC), or completion of a certified civilian formal Course
of Instruction.
Navy NEC 0812 (Small Arms Instructor), or approved U.S. military service equivalent, or graduate from the NRA LE
Handgun Instructor Course.
Navy NEC 0814 (Crew Served Weapons Instructor), or approved U.S. military service equivalent.
Meet Navy High-Risk Training requirements as outlined in OPNAVINST 1500.75 series.
Certified CPR/First Aid through the American Heart Association (EMT Preferred)
Possess proof of qualifications, within the past 3 years, for the following weapons systems: M9 pistol, M4/M16 (variance)
Must possess a valid Drivers’ License, Passport, Military ID, or other form of valid photo identification and be able to obtain a Common Access Card.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
M11 weapons system, M14, M240/M60, M2, M203, Grenadier, M82/M107, .50 caliber
Capable of passing a medical, psychological and drug pre-screening physical
