Force Protection Deployable Subject Matter Expert

Job Description
STS is seeking a Force Protection Subject Matter Expert (SME) to identify solutions involving equipment, systems and technical field support to force protection for Forward Operating Bases, Combat Outposts, and mobile operations involving small teams. These operations may be characterized by joint activities involving security forces from the host nation.

This position will require some travel to overseas locations

Roles and Responsibilities:
Designs and prepares technical reports, studies, and related documentation, makes charts and graphs to record
results prepares and delivers presentations, training and briefings as necessary.
Participates as needed in all phases of the project to include research and development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, training and presentation phases.
Develop solutions based on specific task order technical specifications and objectives, and provide all necessary knowledge, infrastructure and capabilities to efficiently and effectively design and fabricate solutions that meet or exceed those specifications and objectives.
Identify solutions that range from contained combat operations to information operations and include identifying and providing support to international law enforcement
Identify solution that will or effectively counters/mitigates the threat and address the operational realities involved in providing deployable force protection.
Identify solution that is within widely accepted or other reasonable scientific and engineering standards in meeting assigned objectives.
Objectives are well characterized and solution will be effective and address the operational realities of special operations and expeditionary forces.
Compliant with federal, state, and local laws and regulations and applicableinternational protocols

Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in a related field of effort. Master’s degree is preferred

Minimum/General Experience: A minimum of ten years’ experience. Two years additional experience is required if candidate does not possess a Masters.

Clearance requirement: Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information clearable to Secret level. . Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated capability for dealing with all levels of management personnel, contractor managers, and client representatives
