GATA Rural Border Patrol Operations (RBPO) Firearms InstructorTracking Code329-845Job DescriptionLinxx Global Solutions, a fast growing Government contracting company, with corporate offices located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is currently looking for experienced Lead and Staff Instructors to fill independent contractor training positions in support of the Global Anti-terrorism Assistance (GATA) program. Applicants must have a training background and be willing to travel frequently, both domestically and abroad, for short-term assignments.Please note that these are not entry-level positions—the applicant must be able to validate previous instructor experience in the form of certifications, official documentation, and verifiable employment experience. Prior to working on this contract, candidates must be granted a U.S. government-issued moderate risk public trust (MRPT) and be vetted by the Anti-terrorism Assistance (ATA) program office. Public trust certifications require an investigation similar to that of a security clearance, and will include a background investigation. Please list on resume any current or former security clearances held.

Course Description
This five-week course is designed to prepare 12 participants to detect, identify, classify, respond to, and resolve border intrusions in rural environments. Training is focused on small unit tactics, firearms handling, tracking, land navigation, emergency medical care, border security concepts, and operational planning. The course is applicable to law enforcement personnel operating in desert, mountain, and jungle terrains. Community engagement, public safety, and human rights are emphasized throughout the course. An additional objective of the RBPO is to have its participants provide the same training to their colleagues. As such, a five-day train-the-trainer immediately follows in which participants will actually teach segments of the course – both classroom and field.

Required Experience
Mandatory Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Three (3) years of professional work experience may be substituted for one (1) year of education.
Five (5) years of operational, leadership, or instructional work experience in the field of rural border patrol and tactical operations instruction.
Tactical team/special operations experience, with a minimum of three (3) years proven work experience as a tactical operations team member.
Firearms instructor certification from a recognized local, state, federal law enforcement or military institution with ongoing instructional experience in firearms techniques.
Instructor certification from a recognized local, state, federal law enforcement or military institution or a Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) recognized accredited organization and two (2) years of related instructional experience.
Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally, often to austere environments.
Must have professional appearance.
Familiar with Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to:
MS Word
MS PowerPoint
MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in training foreign nationals.
Advanced training in small unit tactics, operational planning, tracking/sign cutting, land navigation, patrolling, defensive tactics, firearms training, or other similar areas associated with rural border patrol or other tactical operations.
At least two (2) years’ experience in training in an overseas environment.
