Range Operator / Maintainer

Job Description
Read diagrams, drawings and blue prints.
Build and erect mock facilities to replicate a battlefield environment.
Build targets to scale for ranges.

Test all targets for proper operation according to the technical manual or prescribed operations.
Replace components to include but not limited to: motors, circuit boards, chains, wiring harnesses.
Service all targets to include stationary armor, stationary infantry, and all moving targets according to the technical manual or prescribed operations.
Operate and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of hand held, battery, electrical and pneumatic tools to include but not limited to: compressors, power saws, nail guns, hammers, screw drivers, weed eaters, pliers and drills.
Drive any and all equipment assigned for the range to include but not limited to: HMMWV, Skid Steer, 5 ton, Stake bed, Farm Equipment, GSA or other various equipment needed to support range operations.
Set the proper address to the electronic cards ensuring communications with the computer in the range tower.

Required Skills
*Ability to read diagrams, drawings and blue prints.
*Ability to operate heavy equipment (forklift, backhoe, etc.) when necessary.
• Possess the ability to operate either military or civilian hand held Global Positioning Devices
• Must have ability to read a sketch map.
• Able to follow all safety regulations and guide lines.
• Must have the ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Able to meet minimum qualifications of a national level background check
Able to speak , read and write English.
 
Required Experience
*Preferred Prior Military E-4 and above
* Minimum of 3 years maintenance/fabrication experience
