Operations Manager Home Office Security - Tempe

Key Responsibilities:

·Lead the Tempe Home Office Security associates and contract security officers as well as the branch security program; conduct investigations, document reported crimes & incidents, provide consulting services to protect the branch and home offices, recover assets

·Liaison with security associations; local, state and federal law enforcement and fire services

·Act as Security representative to the firm's Workplace Violence Risk Assessment & Mitigation team; develop risk reduction strategies and actively lead emergency responses to incidents

·Provide expertise in security related matters at all levels of the firm

·Expense management, including; contracted services and capital expenditures

·Oversight of vendor contract relationships; development of standards, objectives and performance measurement

·Preparation of dashboards and reports for trending and analysis of data to keep the organization formed, improve performance and ensure efficient use of resources· Authorized to carry a handgun to safeguard persons on Edward Jones premises from workplace violence.

Position Requirements:
Education/Experience
BS/BA degree in Criminal Justice or a related field, certification or advanced degree preferred
10-years of relative experience with increasing levels of responsibility in private security, law enforcement, military or other related fields
Minimum five years armed experience in law enforcement, secuirity and/or military
Valid Security Officer License, or equivalent as determined by applicable law and be authorized to carry a firearm
Must have valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:
Physical ability to observe and report
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors
Must be able to spend large part of day in an active role standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs
Must be able to respond quickly and effectively in the event of an emergency

Functional/Technical Skills:
The position requires significant knowledge acquired through previous experience, certification or specialized training in security operations, investigations, assessment and mitigation of risk, emergency management and/or life safety
Effectively communicates and collaborates with all levels of the organization through meetings, written communication, presentations and individual interactions
High level of decision making and problem solving ability .
