Director of Global Security

We are currently seeking a Director of Global Security for our downtown corporate office located in Houston, Texas.
This position is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the security programs for protecting employees and physical assets of the company, ensuring programs are effective and meet the needs of the company as well as conducting investigations into matters of interest of KES. Incumbent is familiar with security planning, policy and procedures, investigations, and executive protection and relies on prior experience and judgment to plan and execute activities and/or projects to secure facility and property across diverse workplaces throughout the world.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops, implements and reviews security programs for protection of all company employees  and physical assets in all locations throughout the world.
  • Evaluates and makes improvements to new and existing security program designed to protect employees and secure facilities and property for their effectiveness and adequacy.
  • Reviews and evaluates security program for best practices and cost effectiveness, checking cost estimates for capital expenditures, operating expenses and G&A expenses.
  • Conducts investigation into fraud, theft, employee misconduct etc. as required or directed, including, but not limited to, cooperating with local law enforcement activities, and/or acting as
  • Key’s representative in handling investigations with local authorities.
  • Provides ongoing review of company security of facilities and assets, in collaboration with other departments such as Internal Audit, Health, Safety and Environment and Human Resources.
  • Provides security assistance in international operations and projects, including providing  consultation and advice on security matters or issues and conducting investigations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications 
  • An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Criminology, or a closely related field of study is preferred.
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in security or law enforcement in a management position, or in the management of a security program in a corporate environment.
  • Military service or experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to deal and interface effectively with employees of all levels, and law enforcement authorities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare investigative reports for management review.
  • Bi-lingual skills (English & Spanish) required.
  • Familiarization with Key policies and procedures, and a good understanding of Key’s culture  and structures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in utilization of various investigative methods.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various work locations worldwide.
