Scan Eagle Experienced Operator (Maritime and Land Based)
ACADEMI UAS is seeking qualified Scan Eagle Operators for immediate Maritime and Land Based deployments.
All candidates should be willing and able to work in a high-threat environment under austere conditions and pass pre-deployment medical screening in accordance with MOD 12 requirements.   

NOTICE: Any offers extended are fully contingent on customer approval, obtaining any necessary security clearance, satisfactory background investigation, drug screening results, meeting all physical, academic, skills, and language
requirements, meeting the medical requirements for the position, and successful completion of any required pre-deployment training.
UAS Operator Field Representatives (FSR) will be expected to deploy on various contracts and meet mission requirements as required by the onsite customer.

Duty Location: OCONUS

Pay: The pay for this position is competitive and includes pay increases based on longevity and performance.

Security Clearance Required: Secret

Rotations/ Work Schedule: 180 boots on ground / 12 hours/day, 7 days a week, Initial 1-4 week CONUS training and processing is required prior to deploying.

Required Qualifications:
  • SCAN EAGLE UAS Operators Certificate
  • Current United Stated issued passport
  • Current United States issued driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently and in a small team environment.
  • Willingness to travel no less than 6 months out of every year (CONUS and OCONUS).
  • Currently possess a Class II FAA Flight physical
  • Ability to pass Company Background and Drug Screening
  • Ability to pass pre-deployment medical and dental screenings in accordance with MOD 12 requirements(CRC/NDC)
  • Strong Computer literacy
  • Ability to pass FAA Ground School.
  • High school Diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:
  • Prior Military Service including operational deployment supporting the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT).
  • Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) experience
  • Mission Commander experience
  • Knowledge of civilian and military airspace
  • Imagery Analyst Intelligence school
  • Previous OCONUS deployment experience with a UAS
  • TS/SCI eligible
  • Private Pilot or better (Commercial/Instrument/CFI/CFII)
  • For Maritime deployments, prior shipboard experience is strongly preferredDuties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform preflight checklists and participate in mission briefings.
  • Review Airspace requirements and operate systems safely and within requirements of applicable flight regulations as required by the OEM, Military, Unit and specific location requirements.
  • Operates UAS and monitors UAS “health” systems. Responds to emergency procedures as required.
  • Operates various sensor systems as required by the mission.
  • Participates in post mission debriefing. Fills out appropriate forms and prepares for following days operations.
  • Utilizes checklist and appropriate operations manuals to operate the UAV safely
  • Assists with various maintenance actions as required by the Site Manager
  • Additional duties may be assignedPhysical Demands:
