Responsibilities:
The basic requirements for a Security Staff employee are to provide protection for company property against fire, theft, vandalism and access control. The security officer is responsible for maintaining continuous surveillance of company property and perimeter fences, performing in-plant patrols with regard to employee safety and asset protection. Perform weekly compliance inspections, including loss prevention
equipment and fire suppression systems. In addition to these duties a security staff employee is expected to utilize SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures), follow standard work, and optimize security processes to protect the employees and business from potential threats. Exceptional customer service, communication, team building and leadership skills are required.

The security department is part of the HR Dept. and security personnel are required to respond to emergencies and ensure a safe work environment. The position requires good, sound judgment to analyze facts in changing situations with regard to administering the Security Policy and access control requirements. Strong ethical standards and integrity are a must.
 
Qualifications
• Team orientation; interpersonal and effective communications skills
• Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and Holidays
• Prefer 1 to 3 years security-related experience (law enforcement or military service)
• High School or GED (with college credits)
• Loss Prevention experience desired
• First Aid, CPR, AED first responder experience desired
• Strong computer and technical skills needed for (visitor/contractor software, databases, surveillance and e-mail communication and required training)
