Summary:
Chenega will staff each work shift with access control employees who will conduct escorts as directed by the Access Control Supervisor or Shift Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)
Escorts will conduct roving and/or foot security checks IAW AWG standing procedures to enforce control of facilities and the perimeter of the AWG facilities to determine deficiencies and breaches.
Escorts will recommend changes to access control procedures to reduce opportunities for theft, assault, illegal entry, or other kinds of violations.
Escorts will apply maximum access control measures for the protection of property, material, equipment, and personnel.
Escorts will routinely conduct checks and surveillance to detect individuals committing acts of violence, trespass, and theft of federal or personal property.     


Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 2 years of experience in civilian law enforcement, military law enforcement, or civilian security service
First Aid certification
CPR/AED certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills to engender rapport with military personnel, civilians, and other contracts at all levels of DoD.
Knowledge of national security program directives and standards is a must.
Excellent writing and speaking skills are essential.
Knowledge of Microsoft applications and programs

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Must successfully complete a pre employment physical agility test (PAT) and annually thereafter as prescribed by the government.

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
