Description 
Bowhead is looking for a Physical Security SME. This position will assist, as needed, in writing, reviewing, and producing the client Security Master Plan that defines the overall protection strategy for the client facility and DoD facilities throughout the NCR. They will have a working knowledge of DoD regulations pertaining to physical security; to include but not limited to (AR-190.16, AFI31-101, DOD 5200.08R, applicable Unified Facility Criteria (UFC) and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS), and Intelligence Community Directive Number 705 (ICD 705). In addition, Contractor shall have solid working knowledge of Inter-Agency Security Committee (ISC) Standards pertaining to physical security; to include but not limited to ISC-891 and ISC-892. They will serve as Project Managers for efforts within their respective area of expertise, as necessary, to meet program and project objectives. They will assist the government during development of plans to ensure the protection of DoD resources against trespass, terrorism, sabotage, theft, arson, and other illegal acts during peacetime, mobilization, and war, and share them with other commands located in close proximity. Will have a working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Department of Defense Instruction 8510.01 to ensure that risk management is applied on information systems (IS). They will support development of installation security threat assessments for DoD Commands and Services within the NCR. They will establish and maintain up-to-date procedures for providing support to, and requesting support from, other local Service or DLA installations in the event of a terrorist incident. Additionally they will support development of physical security programs to provide the means to counter threat entities. These include, but are not limited to: • Hostile intelligence services • Paramilitary forces • Terrorists or saboteurs • Criminal elements • Disaffected persons • Protest groups Current security technologies and associated defeat measures but not limited to: • Using physical security equipment or measures and risk assessments to reduce vulnerability to a threat • Integrating physical security into contingency, mobilization, and wartime plans, and testing physical security procedures and measures during the exercise of these plans • Coordinating installation operations security (OPSEC), crime prevention, and physical security programs to protect against the total criminal element • Training guards at sensitive or other storage sites in tactical defense against, and response to, attempted penetrations • Creating physical security awareness. They will support development and/or implement physical security measures, physical security equipment, procedures, or devices used to protect security interests from possible threats. They include, but are not limited to: • Security guards • Alarm Systems • Military working dogs • Physical barriers • Building pass systems • Visitor pass system • Secure containers • Locking devices • Access Control Intrusion detection systems (ACIDS) • Security lighting • Assessment or surveillance systems (such as closed-circuit television (CCTV)) • Access control devices • Facility hardening • Classification Markings as appropriate to Executive Order 13526 (2014)
Requirements Bachelors Degree with a minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience.

SECURTIY CLEARANCE: Must possess (or have the ability to obtain) valid U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance.


Physical Demands: Office Environment - - The environmental conditions consist of computer stations and desks with adequate and adjustable lighting. Chairs are designed to fit the various individuals and the tasks being performed. Ergonomic evaluations are completed as needed, to provide up to date modifications to all work stations.
