Description:
Corporate Security Services protects the people, facilities, and assets of the company across the Globe. To accomplish our mission, we are seeking an Event Security Manager, based in San Francisco, and managing company events as assigned, including events that require international
travel. The incumbent will be responsible for managing an existing program while exploring opportunities to further refine and improve upon the current state of the program.

Qualified candidates must be able to interact positively with stakeholders across the full spectrum of business unit owners and demonstrate ownership of deliverables. Ability to build and maintain rapport, understand and adapt to nuances of different internal customers, and adapt rapidly to large scale, dynamic events is critical.

The Events Security Manager reports to the Senior Manager of Corporate Security Services and will be tasked with management and improvement of sustainable, scalable solutions that address:
Meeting or exceeding service level agreements (SLA’s) for event security planning, coordination, and management
Effective and consistent coordination of efforts necessary for executing successful event security plans, including but not limited to vendor selection, vendor management, event plan preparation, and coordination with stakeholders
Participation in the planning and execution of Dreamforce The Corporate Security Services program is part of the Corporate Security team, which is responsible for the safety, security, business continuity, and crisis response programs globally. The successful candidate for this role will be expected to serve in an on call rotation, and be available for emergent situations as needed. This position will potentially travel as much as 50%, including international travel.

Primary Responsibilites:
Prepares and when necessary personally executes event security plans
Directs contracted guard services in execution of event security responsibilities
Ensures performance of the event security contractors as measured by SLA’s, KPI’s, and other indicators
Oversees response to minor incidents at events and manages directly the response to major incidents
Works in close coordination with the Protective Intelligence Manager to ensure the proactive protection of events
Coordinates closely with the Crisis Management Team, Security Services, and the Security Technology & Design teams to ensure special events are executed safely and in a manner that demonstrates our innovative spirit
Serves in the on-call rotation as a backup for security services emergency response

Professional Experience/Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Overall experience of 5+ years in security or closely related services in public or private sector
Minimum of 2 years experience in event security management
Demonstrated experience executing successful security operations programs
Exceptional writing, research, and analysis skills
Professional Experience/Skills Preferred:
Multi-disciplinary backgrounds (e.g. Security Ops Management and Operations Center Management)
Anchor Prior experience in a fast-paced environment with high travel needs
Familiarity with Salesforce.com and use of our business solutions
